iOS8 predictive text woes

Is anyone else having issues getting used to the keyboard finishing your sentences? I find half the time it doesn't predict the right word or idea at all. Does that improve over time? Does it "learn" what you're trying to say? I did try turning it off, but then my keyboard wasn't really predicting anything, so I'm trying to learn to work with this new feature.

Mine has gotten consistently better since I got it, and I find it better than any third-party offerings at the moment.

Also, if you switch to a new keyboard, it starts over for that keyboard.
