Does my phone have water damage ?

The power button nor the volume button on my phone works . The volume constantly turns up and down on its own , and the bar representing volume turning up and down does not disappear from my screen after turning up/down ! The other day , when taking out the battery , I saw a small dot of water .

Did you take the phone apart to get the battery out? Because the battery is non removable.
