why doesnt the ringtone workfor calls and texts , i phone 5 , the phone just vibrates??

the volume buttons work within the aps and the music plays , siri also works??

1. Go to Settings> Sounds > set alert tone for text and turn vibration off.
1. Go to Settings>Sounds > set Ringtone for calls. Turn vibration off.
3. Go to Settings > Notifications >phone > turn notifications on.
4. Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages > turn notifications on.
