iPhone music playlists not updating

This only started happening recently but I have the smart playlists recently added and top 25 most played on my music app on my phone but after the most recent update these playlists don't update as they should. I have live updating selected on both and they both worked perfectly before.

have you signed out of Apple ID and signed back in?

I've tried everything I can think off. Reset. Switched off n on. Deleted playlists n readded them.
