I recently shared the fact on here that for the first time, I'll be putting an Elago glide case on my 5, and lamenting this fact because, I think, it has the perfect patina on the back now. In short, it's PERFECTLY beat up. Take a look.

Nah bro. It's just silver on the sides from handling it and sitting it down and spinning it. It's a habit...a bad one some would say.
