how can i reset 4s when it's stuck on pull in to itunes?

i tried to to the upgrade on my 4s last night and now my phone screen is stuck on a picture of the plug in and itunes picture, wanting me to plug my phone into my itunes acct. Tried that and nothing is working!!

Welcome to iMore! Hard reset your device by holding down the power button and reset button simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo. Unless you are having an issue with your iPhone you shouldn't use to us recovery mode or DFU mode to update via iTunes, and you should be able to do it over the air by going to Settings > General > Software Updates.
