Screen Damage on iphone 4

Hi All, new to the forum. Look to get lots of great info on iphones, based on other forums I frequent.

My son left his iphone out in the the sun and there are some dark spots on his screen today. Sort of a graying going diagonally across about half of the screen.

Can anyone tell us if anything can be done? Is there any chance it will get better on it's own? Phone's still plenty usable, just not the greatest screen.

Any info would be appreciated.

As for your question, I'm not sure, if after a day the spots haven't disappeared, you may want to take it to a nearby Apple a store for repair, especially if you have insurance or Apple Care Plus or you may opt to repair the screen yourself.
