GPS App

Can anyone recommend a good FREE gps app. I came over from Android and Im used to the free navigator and Sprint navigation. Any help would be appreciated.

OP said "free" - Garmin's not.

That aside - the best GPS apps will have full maps stored on the device - if you have to depend on the data connection for maps, you may find yourself without data, and no cached maps and be "lost".

If that's the criteria for "best" for a person considering GPS nav apps. Best is highly subjective no matter what the topic and different people will have different requirements. Be careful making such broad, sweeping generalizations based on your own preferences.

I've used apps that download maps as needed for 10,000+ miles. While locally stored maps would have been beneficial in a few situations they're not the end-all-be-all of GPS nav app features IMO. YMMV, of course.
