Message Alerts

I seem to be having a problem with my message alerts. Whenever I get a new text message while the phone is locked, the alert appears at the top of the lock screen. When the phone is unlocked, the message appears in the normal middle position. I've tried changing the settings, rebooting, syncing, but nothing seems to help. Does anybody have an idea as to what the problem might be? I'm using a jailbroken 3gs 32gb.

it's probably your jailbreak. start uninstalling jailbreak apps and see if anything fixes it

I agree with the last poster, there can be all sorts of issues with jaibroken iPhones. My buddy just got rid of his due to the fact that the JB made the phone very unstable.

That seemed to work. I installed an Android style lock screen from cydia but never enabled it. Once I uninstalled that, the alerts went back to the normal position.
