How did this happen?

I was flipping through my pictures and there was a picture that was the main screen that has the date and time up top, your background picture in the middle and at the bottom it had the slide to unlock.
How in the world did that get saved as a picture on my phone?

If you press the Home button + the Sleep/Wake button, the phone will take a screenshot and place it in your camera roll.

I have also accidentally taken a screenshot of the phone and you can delete directly from the phone if you have not yet synced it to your computer.
