Their website doesn't instill me with the greatest of confidence.

On the other hand, I don't use ringtones, so what do I know.

The same developer, gx.5.com, is pretty reliable on the Palm side.

Anyhow, if you don't use ringtones, is your phone always on vibrate? :D

i use the ringtones that the iPhone came with. they seem to suffice for my needs as there are many to choose from. but typically i go with a standard ringer or the like.

interesting development nonetheless.

Yep, my phone is always on vibrate. If I was ever in court or in a meeting with clients and my phone went off, it would be a Bad Thing.

It would be nice for people like you to have some sort of 'telegraph' system for vibrating alerts, so you could differentiate between an appointment and a call, and maybe an 'emergency' ringtone that only could be sounded under specific circumstances.

As i've mentioned on here before, i do miss my treo's little LED (with butler so that i could set the colors/flash codes based on events).

Minor annoyance, though, because of how the iphone works:

- for sms and phone calls and appointments, the screen turns on when it vibrates, and you see the alert
- for email, it just vibrates

So I can always tell what kind of alert it is if I have the phone in view.

Yeah, I wasn't criticizing the way the iPhone handles alarms, no phone does what I suggested that I know of.
