I have a iPhone 3GS that I was trying to reset. I did the reset all content and settings and then it constantly rebooted. Well, I know how to put it into recovery mode, IF the power button worked and I could shut it off. Unfortunately, my son dropped it a few weeks ago and the power button no longer works. So basically, I have the continually circular swirl and cannot power off.
I have tried a magnet by the plug as some suggested. I have tried pressing on the screen (front and back) near the upper right hand corner and pressing power and home button for several minutes. I have tried holding down the home button while plugging it into the computer. All were no goes.
Anyone have any other suggestions???
