finally got a iphone 3gs
i got my iphone 3gs finally but its at version 3.1 so i cannot jailbreak or unlock
i heard that a unlock is unlikely and so is a jailbreak on 3.1
but u think i shoud keep the iphone at 3.1 will it be unlocked or jailbroken soon or u think i should try to return it(which i might not be able to do)
so i think if i return the iphone i dont think ill get one at a lower version so as i have said do u think a jailbreak/unlock is likely to happen and if so when cuz i dont wanna be waiting for too long - 10-03-2009, 04:38 PM #2

You can now jailbreak 3gs on 3.1, however i'm not sure if it is unlockable yet. You can always downgrade your firmware to 3.0 and unlock. Search the forums I know there are threads on it out there on it.

You can't. You can only jailbreak if your 3GS was previously PWNed.
