all ad blockers say not compatible with this device

I have an iPad 16GB with ios 9.2. As blockers will not load and I have tried many they all say Not compatible with this device.

Welcome to iMore! What model of iPad are you using? Are you downloading them from the App Store? Unless you jailbreak you cannot install apps from third-party sources. Make sure the apps you're trying to download are compatible with your model of iPad. Compatibility is located toward the bottom of the app listing.

The iPad is MD336LL/A and I have tried downloading from the app store both free and priced

Your device is a 3rd generation iPad. That particular model was discontinued in October 2012. As to why ad blockers do not support your particular iPad, I do not know. Try contacting the app's developer(s) for an explanation and/or resolution.

Most if not all of the ad blockers available should be compatible with your iPad 3
