no icons visible on screen, just a pic I put up as homepage, no icon for settings otherwise I would use it

Welcome to iMore. Another suggestion for you.

Reset the icons on your iPhone or iPad:

1. Open “Settings“.
2. Select “General“.
3. Tap “Reset“.
4. Select “Reset Home Screen Layout“.
