Next Gen of ipad mini or next Gen of ipad air?

So i finally decided to get an ipad, of course i will wait till the 9th of September to see if they show the new ipads. But my dilemma is witch ipad to get. I will be using it basically for work (restaurant manager) and to watch a movie when i travel on a plane. I know a bigger screen will be better to watch a movie, but what about carrying it all day in the restaurant? In that case, the mini is more practical. Any suggestions?

I carry my iPad Air 2 everywhere and it's not really an issue imo
