iOS 6 and battery life
How is everyone's battery life so far after updating? I have read some complaints on twitter about it being a battery hog, but I have not noticed a difference yet.

My battery has so far surprised me. fully charged it prior to update, then unplugged for the remainder of the day. it is still %70 with fairly heavy use. Very nice considering i would have about %30 left in the same time frame.

Drained to 30% in less than two hours, something's up.

I was too. I'm also getting major email problems, no sent or received on any accounts. May do a reset.

Battery life is very good, thus far. It appears better than before, but I will know for certain tomorrow.

I've been on iOS 6 for about a week and I can confirm that battery life is good. It's better than it ever was on iOS 5 for me. ~14hours standby and ~7 hours use per charge.

Done iOS6 update on one of the 4s. Now around 7-8 hours. Still showing 100%. 3G, BT, WiFi all on. Seems to be good ob battery. Touch wood

Same thing for me, just replying to a message and I actually SEE the battery percentage dip. Drains almost as fast when its in stand-by. I have an iPhone 3GS, though, (trust me, I know its time for an upgrade) so that may be part of my problem.

Mine has been even better than ever. I was in standby from 11 last night to 9 his morning and its still 100%. Didn't even drop 1% like it would on 5.1.1.

Every time I do an IOS update is seems the battery meter needs calibrating; it stays at 100% for a long time, then drops rapidly. I run it normally until the battery runs out and it shuts off, then fully charge it without using it, and everything is back to normal.

Today is my first chance to run a full power cycle from 100%. Will report back with results.
I will note; however, that it has been off the charger for about an hour now playing music through my iPod function and remains at a full charge. My battery life was questionable on iOS 5, so here's to hoping that it gets better with the update to 6. - 09-20-2012, 09:42 AM #22

Bleeding and I have not even touched it since I turned the phone off airplane mode at 8am. I am down to 89% without doing so much as just touching it on to see the percent. So 11% loss with signal on.

I know others have mentioned this and not sure if it make a difference but were the updates done after a restore (wipe) or just over the existing version?
Maybe a restore/wipe would help? - 09-20-2012, 10:04 AM #25
Installed OTA over existing. Battery life is as good as, or better than, what I experienced on 5.1
