    Default iOS6 OTA asking to plug into iTunes

    Just downloaded iOS6 OTA, it installed and restarted. Apple logo came up with a progress bar, now it has the USB plug and iTunes logo.

    I'm at work and I sync with iTunes at home.

    Why would it be showing this if it was all supposed to be OTA?

    As I understand it, OTA updates have to have an iCloud backup to do a full download and install and activation. If you only use iTunes to backup, it has to connect to iTunes to restore the phone.

    Wow! Didn't know that. My backup is too big for iCloud so I only backup to my computer...guess I'll have to run home at some point.

    Just got home. Plugged it in and now iTunes is downloading the OS. Once it is done I hope it will restore from my backup last night.
