apps simultaneously downloading??

What is this new feature that allows you to download new apps simultaneously?

When I have apps updating I only see one that says "loading" and the rest all say "waiting" just as it was before iOS5.

Is this a known problem? Are your apps downloading at the same time?

I'm restoring from backup right now, and when one app is almost finished loading, the next one will start loading while the previous one finishes or installs. They don't run simultaneously for very long, though.
