I need help in setting up my google authenticator

Since I have replaced my Iphone, authenticator does not work, the instructions on the Web seem to be misleading.

When I try to start it on my Iphone it comes up with option Scan Barcoe or Manual Entry

So how does this work?

You literally scan the bar code or enter a code manually from the site you are enabling two-factor
