Why does my I phone 6s not cycle my music like it used to and what can be done about it to fix this

plays one song at a time then has to be manually operated to play the next otherwise will keep repeating

Are you playing a playlist or an album? My daughter had that happen and she had one of the settings toggled wrong. The squiggly arrows. I am not somewhere right now where I can post a pic but it's in the music player. There are two buttons with arrows. It's one of those.
