Lost mail icon and email account

I have no email account. All of a sudden the mail icon is gone and i have tried to go and reconnect but i keep getting errors. It will try to verify then it "times out" and won't connect. I turned to phone off and reset the network. I am not sure what to do. My wife's phone and ipad are fine.

First, try rebooting the device. If that doesn't work, go to Settings → General → Reset, and then select "Reset All Settings". If that doesn't work, restore your device via iTunes.
