A passcode is password that has NUNBERS. A passCODE right? And a password is a password that contains WORDS ( or even numbers). PassWORD! Get it?!

The passcode/password is set up as a failsafe in case your fingerprint does not get recognized multiple times. It isn't something you should forget. If you set up a fingerprint you should also take note of what you used as a back-up for your passcode/password.
