How can I get the Cloud upgrade to stop?

Cloud Upgrade won't stop

I've been trying to get my phone to sync with outlook (not the Cloud), but I can't turn off the Cloud - it's grayed out. I tried updating the Cloud thinking that might be how to gain access to the on/off switches. Now it won't stop upgrading... Help!

What "cloud" are you referring to, specifically?

Are you referring to iCloud? What is it doing? Is your phone updating the iOS? Is it backing up? That can take 30 minutes or so. What do you see?
