iPhone won't show up in iTunes/sync

I have a brand new iPhone 6s and was working perfectly until yesterday when it wouldn't show up in iTunes. I've used different cables and ports on my laptop and I ended up saving a back up to iCloud and resetting my phone. I also updated iTunes and the most it will do is ask me to allow permission to access data on both devices which I allow immediately but it still won't come up. the iCloud saved everything BUT my music so now I have only the music bought from the store (not imported music from CD'). I've tried everything, what do I do?
