i can't sign in my icloud because "the maximum number of free accounts has been activate on my iphone 5" is always appear when i try to sign in

Welcome to iMore! Apple limits the number of iCloud accounts to 3 per device. This is to stop one from creating multiple accounts to get more free iCloud storage. I'm still unsure how that works. Someone said it was iCloud email addresses, rather than accounts. You might try using a non iCloud email address. Like Gmail or Outlook. I'd like to know if that works. May not.
