If I replace the logic board in my iPhone will it work?

I have an iPhone that is icloud locked/ has a bad esn, if I simply buy a brand new logic board will I have a working phone again? Or is it only good for parts now

A new logic board would basically be a new phone .. New esn etc so yes it should work as long as the new one is clean

Just a reminder: Many times people replace parts and still have certain issues. If the phone is old, you might consider if purchasing a new one is a better option.
