Why does my email crash?

I click on the email icon, the screen goes white for several seconds, then goes black & then immediately goes back to the beginning screen. I have shut it down over night, re-booted, deleted questionable emails. IPhone 4S.

Could be an iOS issue - restore it via iTunes.

If the advice KCH gave you does not work, Try and delete any and all email accts you have just to make sure and after restarting your device, Set up your email accts again. Try one at a time to open where this way you can either find the cause or eliminate it by setting them up again. Good luck.
