How do I add new contacts if my typewriter won't come up?

Typewriter won't come up

I can't add new contacts or imformation in phone mode. Type writer won't come up.

Unfortunately, the newer versions of smart phones have lost their compatibility with type writers...plus, getting ink off the screen is difficult if it really gets imbedded.

My suggestion would be to try and access the KEYBOARD on your device's touchscreen...so much more intuitive and easy to use. If you ever have difficulty pulling up the KEYBOARD on your device, go into your general settings and make sure you have a keyboard selected, if that isn't the issue, try a hard restart (hold home/power for 10sec.)...if it still does not work properly, try a restore on the device via iTunes.
