Trying to reset Apple Id for iCLoud on iPad 2, and home screen pops-up and sign-in to iCloud is not successful. What do I do?

Type in the correct iCloud username and passcode. If you don't know it, go to the iCloud website and use its passcode recovery option. Other than that, there is nothing you can do and there's nothing we can do to help you in this regard.
