Why is iPad playing music I didn't ask for?

ever since ios8 when I grab my "sleeping" iPad, music is playing. U2's album. I didn't buy it. It just appeared, and I can' kill it. I can pause it, but can't get rid of it. I never used iTunes to get any music... Ever... But there it is... playing. How do I stop it. Permanently.
