How come I can't access songs in my Family Share Plan?

My family member has set up a Family Share Account and I would like to download some songs they have purchased in the past, however when I try to do this, it tells me I need to have a valid payment method. We do have a valid payment method, and when my family member does this, it works. Why doesn't it work for me?

When did you set it up? Today? It may take up to 24 hours for family member's purchases to be available to you... and if you have no credit card on file for your iTunes account, it can be circumvented by simply adding and maintaining a small balance on your AppleID via iTunes gift card.
