Setting up imessage on ipod touch

I'm trying to set up imessage on an ipod touch 5th generation for my daughter. I want her to be able to text and have her texts come through to my phone but I don't want her ipod to get texts that are initiated on my phone. Is that possible? If so, how do I do it?

If you setup additional email addresses associated to your AppleID you might be able to set one of those as the address to use on the iPod and then have them all on your phone. You won't be able to tell what texts you receive are from which device though.

Why not set up a new AppleID for your daughter and then monitor the texts. Or if you have a Mac you can use the same AppleID on the Mac and all the texts she gets will also go there for you too look at.
