I forgot my password for my ipad mini, how do I get into it?

I had to reset my ipad mini and now can not get in as I do not recall the password. I have tried everything that it SHOULD be.

If you forgot the passcode (the 4 digit lock screen number), your only option is to wipe and restore.

You will have to restore the iPad Mini via iTunes and risk losing all of the data on it. If there's an iCloud activation lock on the device, you will NOT be able to access it even after restoring it until you enter the associated passcode.
