Why has my iPhone 4s screen suddenly gone black?

Iphone 4s screen suddenly went black.

Can reboot with power and home button but seconds later it goes black. Swapped battery with no success. Batter is fully charged. Phone was not dropped or wet. Any help is appreciated.

Whick OS are attempting to run on it?

Have you tried a hard reset?

os 7.1.1 I was avoiding a hard reset, don't want to lose all my info. I opened the phone and slight pressure on the top of the mobo will shut if off. I looked for loose connections and everything seems fine. Was wondering what hardware related issues could be causing it.

A little more info. If I press firmly on the screen anywhere (or simply hold it between two fingers and squeeze) it will shut down and need a soft reset. It stays on if you just let it sit peacefully. ????????
