After doing an iCloud backup, I lost all of my contacts. How can I get them back?

On Sunday 8/17/14 I performed a ICloud back on on my IPhone 4S, all my contacts were lost, I need them back really bad, I use this phone for 2 businesses. I have logged into ICloud on my laptop and have found my contacts however I can't figure out how to possibly transfer them back to my phone. Please Help.

Is the slider in the on position under your contacts in iCloud?

On your iPhone- go to Settings>iCloud and as someone suggested earlier make sure that the Contact option is turned ON (the button should be green).

If that's ON and it's still not syncing, try rebooting the phone.
