Upgraded PDF reader to connoisseur - how do I transfer files ?

I downloaded a lot of files to pdf reader and organised them in to folders. I upgraded to the connoisseur version but none of the files have transferred (didn't realise it wouldn't just 'upgrade', more so it's added a new app - my bad). Any ideas how to transfer all these files ? I think my icloud storage is full - and not sure I'm eligible for the free 500mg storage with the kdan(?) storage.
