iPhone won't send texts to non-iPhones?

Hi,
I just got an iPhone 5c today; I've been texting my friends with iPhones just fine, but whenever I try to text people who have phones other than iPhones, the messages won't deliver. I've turned on the "Send as SMS" option in settings, but that didn't seem to help. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Try rebooting and/or going to Settings - General - Reset and then select "Reset Network Settings". You will need reconfigure your device with your Wi-Fi network afterwards...
