Was the device damaged in any way or was it subjected to any possible liquid/moisture damage?
If it won't come on, you can try a hard restart like suggested above, or you can try to restore the device in iTunes to see if you get any progress. If there's simply no power at all, you may have hardware failures that cannot be fixed by simple resets or restores, but we'd need more information to assess that online (and still may not be able to even then).
