I'm sort of confused; are you trying to connect your phone with U-Connect?

Use Bluetooth on any phone and push the U-Connect button, say "pair a device". It'll walk you through the steps.

I've had a few cars with U-Connect, including a Charger as well and I was using it back to the older smartphones.
