icloud restore taking forever

[iMore Question]

I just purchased an iphone 5s and am trying to restore it using my icloud. Everything is on my phone but about half my apps are still "loading" and in iTunes it says "Syncing Apps: waiting for items to copy." It's been like this for about 4 hours now. I don't want to stop the restore or unplug my phone if it will mess things up. Suggestions?

There could be a problem on Apple's end. Their system status page showed problems with iCloud email earlier. Anyway, you can always reboot your device. The process will pick up where it left off.
