i have an I phone 4 and have just updated with ios 7.0.4 and now cannot open my phone. The slider is not responding to my touch can anyone help.

can you try hard resetting it? Hold the home button and the power button down at the same time- You will see slide to power off (don't let go) after that keep holding until the screen goes blank then the apple appears- at this point let go- see if that helps. If not may have to restore via iTunes

I agree with phreddyl try the hard reset. Hold both the home button and power button down until you see the Apple logo then let go.

If that does not work, bite the bullet and set up as new and reload your new OS and everything else but that should cure it.
