HELP!!

I backed up my phone yesterday, because i was getting a new iphone 5 cos my lock button broken. So when i received the new phone, sim card inside, i went to back up my phone with iCloud and now all of my stuff has been wiped!!!!! I feel like crying cos i had lots of photographs on there i wanted to keep and now have gone. Please can anyone help me why, and also i only have 102 photo's out of my 1,100 come up on my phone. That's all no contacts or anything else has appeared

How did you back up your old Phone? Did you use iTunes? If so, connect the new device to iTunes and click "Restore Backup". If you backed up to iCloud, when you initially set up your new device, you should have been prompted with a restore option which included iCloud.
