How can I reset my son's iPad without an Apple ID?

trying to reset my son's Ipad and it's asking for my Apple ID.

I would just like to get this Ipad working and this oneway stuff is rediculous. I can not recover my Apple ID because it says email is in use...Yes! It's in use for us! but can't access anything w/this Ipad?????
