this might sound like a strange question but are you able to change the weather on A watch face to show the current weather in a certain city or state such as thisChange the weather?-img_1147.jpg

You can add further cities, if that is what you mean.

Not that I know of. I just refer to the one I want at the time.

It will show the weather based on your location automatically.

it doesn’t do it when I go to a different city, do you have to have location services turned on?

I think it depends. If you set your Watch to mimic your iPhone and then allow access to location always under Privacy, it should show your location's weather on the Watch.

Unfortunately the only weather app I've used that reliably automatically changes the city/town is Carrot Weather. Even the stock weather app stays on the city I live in when I get to work, and I pass through 4 city/towns on the way.

So, I can’t get the weather to change automatically on the watch face I need to download carrot weather? you would think Apple would change this

I use Forecast Bar, and if it doesn't automagically update, I simply tap it, or, open the app on my phone and the app updates the location on both devices. Easey Peasey!

Yes, you absolutely need location services on for the watch to know that you have changed location. When you have it turned on, your watch follows your location and the weather will change its display automatically (it may take some time; I think that the complication checks only a certain number of times per hour.)

Carrot weather would also need location services turned on for it to know that you have changed location.

I can understand not wanting a third party app to have location services, but you should turn on location services for all system services and Apple apps.

No, I'm not saying you NEED to install Carrot. I'm just saying that, in my own experience, it's the only app that's reliably updated current locations.

Turn on location services on your watch. Go to settings>privacy>locations services.

The only setting for Weather on the Apple Watch is for you to choose a default City.

For weather forecasts and alerts, I would think so. And for what it’s worth, I’ve had my Watch for two years and am still learning!
