Is this available for series 5? I sold my series 4 that was on 6.0.1 and when it unpaired it backed up as Apple Watch does but I can’t restore because my series 5 says it’s up to date on 6.0

I guess my question still stands is 6.0.1 the current version on the series 5? My wife and I are on 6.0 with no updates available on the watch or in the watch app.

Yes, it definitely is; I have 6.0.1 on my S5, which came out the day I received the watch (which obviously had 6.0 on it). I have seen many reports of people not being offered 6.0.1 as an update to 5.3.2 (which is happening to people who get used watches on older versions of watchOS; 5.3.2 was supposed to be offered only to people on iPhones that cannot update to iOS 13 from iOS 12), but this is the first I've seen of somebody who isn't being offered an update available when on 6.0.

I would call AppleCare to report this issue; may they know of a way to install 6.0.1?

I just got off the phone with Apple support. They said sometimes it takes the watch a couple of day after being activated to register theirs a update. They said it should show up then, if not to exchange it. I have never experienced this problem on any other of my iPhones or watches. But hey, seems to be running ok. Batterie life seems a bit under whelming. Check for a update in a few days.

So I just woke up getting ready for work and do my my morning routine. Checking for app updates and what not are part of that. To my surprise their was a update to 6.0.1 roughly 24 hours after activation on my watch and my wife’s. I’ve never seen that before on any Apple product ever. So wired!!!
