Most of you know, I don’t deal with watch betas. It’s takes way too long to do a watch update and you can’t downgrade the OS without shipping your watch back to Apple.

So with that said, since it’s the GM copy is out now I decided to load it. 2.5 hours later, it’s finally done. They is an awful update experience from Apple. For those of you have the patience to load betas, Apple should give you guys a cookie for having the patience for installing updates.

Time to play with it and see what’s new.

Yup loaded mine when I went to sleep last night.....

Hopefully this process gets better over time. It should not take that long...

My first gen 38mm took 10 minutes to download the update and another 35 to 45 minutes for the update to be finished.
That’s significantly less than the 2.5 hours I read here

Yeah my series 2 42mm took almost 90 mins to download. And internet speeds was not the problem since I get 300-350 DL speeds at home. Then another hour to install.

Okay.
Well, I hope the update process will even be faster on series 3.

I would generally have about 70-75% battery left at the end of the day in my 42 mm series 2 on the latest official watch os 3 build. My first full day I had 63% left on watch os 4. Time will tell how battery really is but I can’t recall having only 63% left unless I was using the workouts app.

How’s the performance?
