watchOS 3 Public Beta: Profile loaded, Update not available

My iPhone is running iOS 10 public beta (almost) flawlessly. Now I wanted to try out watchOS 3 public beta. Download of the profile worked but upon requesting the software update it says that I have the latest version (2.2.1). So the upgrade seems not to be possible. - Does anyone else have this problem and is there any solution?

I haven't found a thread yet that tells me how. Still looking.

Unless you have a Dev account with Apple, it's not possible to get beta.

If you are participant of the iOS public beta you can't buy a dev account. I have tried that....
