Ringtones via SMS/MMS or email

Is there anyway to save ringtones sent to you in a message to the device? Does it matter if they are sent from another iphone, or bb or droid? Thanks,

Not that I know of. They have to be in m4r format, and synced via iTunes.

You can do this but only if you are jailbroken.
