Open iTunes and Devices>iPhone>Music and pick the playlist you want.

Shouldn't your playlists transfer to iTunes? If so just check those playlists in the music tab and sync. I can sync any of mine, my daughters and my sons from their ipods to my iPhone.

Connect the iPod and go to File and transfer purchases.

Use iTunes. Copy to playlist from iPod to your iTunes first then sync to your iPhone.
